In 2004, Mark Zuckerberg, the founder, launched a new social media called "Facebook", according to the guardian news published in 2007. Noticeably, after a decade of the invention Facebook, the popularity of this new social media has been increasing dramatically because the users have realized the numerous of benefits that they can gain from it. This has shown us that Facebook is very important for the users for many reasons.
Firstly, Facebook is the best way for communication. Facebook has many functions which can help the users communicate with one another more convenient and cost less than using telecommunication service. Mostly, people can use Facebook to comment, chat, and call to their friends and their love ones which is easiest way and less cost of charge than using phone call because what the users need is just to connect their smartphone or computer to the internet. Most importantly the users can use Facebook as a tool to share and exchange information with their friend in Facebook; although, they live far away from each other.
Secondly, Facebook provides news and information. In the globalization era, Facebook becomes an online-based news. Due to the fact that so many famous news companies such as CNN, BBC, The New York Time, etc., start publishing their news on Facebook in order to spread the information wisely and to reach more people around the globe by sharing from their own webpage. Interestingly, Facebook has been used by many governments to inform, spread, and share new information, new policies, or new events to their citizen to aware of what is happening or changing in their nation through the government's Facebook page or each ministry's Facebook page.
Last but not least, Facebook is a new form to run a business. Facebook has become a new business platform for the the people who just start up a small business and do not have much capital in the first stage. On the other hand, Facebook has transformed itself as an intersection between seller and buyer through social media, known as "E-commerce". E-commerce refers to a business transaction that sell goods and services via the electronic channels, for example, Facebook. The sellers can post their products and advertise their business on Facebook to attract the target customers.
All in all, Facebook is very important for the people in this era in providing such priceless options in life such as maintaining a strong communication with other people, sharing, news and information, and providing a new platform for business to help raise people's living standard and make a beautiful world for human beings to live in.
